In French, the students have been reading a series of French children books which many of them remember from their primary grades.  We have discussed the elements which the books have in common and now the students will be writing original versions using the characters found in these books as well as introducing new characters of their own invention. 

One of the concepts stressed during the writing process will be the verbs.  We have practised using verbs in the present, passé composé and future.  The students have been provided with a useful verb wheel which will help them when writing.

We will be publishing our final copies on the computer. Our illustrations will be inspired by the original artwork. Our audience will be students in a grade one class at Westwood Primary.
