Last week we began our science unit in French on the human body. I was pleased with the students’ abilities to remain focused on the task at hand as we discovered the body systems. We will be forming small groups to examine one of the systems, conduct research, (use the glossary, table of contents and index), write a bibliography, take jot notes and write a script and story board for a video which will teach the key concepts of the system. We will film the rehearsed presentations for viewing prior to our Christmas break. The students will naturally have class time to conduct their research over the next two weeks. Any extra research they can conduct at home, on the internet and at the public library will further enhance their learning.
