Just a quick update about routines for the last eleven days of school!  We are continuing our learning by working on the following activities:

math – using protractors to measure angles, exploring geometry with manipulatives

English Language Arts/French Language Arts – creating paper bag puppets to use in a bilingual play for the grade four Core French students (presentations next week)

Social Studies/ French - teaching students from 5E how to create slideshows using Corel Presentation software in their biography study (Some students are also conducting their own research. )

Writing a ficitious penpal letter in French to contribute to the data collection for our school development plan.  The French Immersion teachers will use these writing samples to learn assessment techniques and to develop a plan to improve the level of writing (ideas, organization and conventions) within our French Immersion programs.

Learning through presentations – grade five – one more lesson in Personal safety grade six -Family Life sessions have concluded,  Smoking and RCMP presentation about cyberbullying take place this week

Reading for pleasure – The students in 5/6 F continue to read, share and talk about the novels they are enjoying.  They are wonderful at promoting these books and authors amongst themselves.

Physical Education and Music classes continue! Yeah!
